On April 4, 2023, a virtual event successfully inspired youth to understand climate change! It’s great to hear that Olumide Idowu was one of the people who started the International Climate Change Development Initiative and had the opportunity to be the main speaker. (ICCDI). It’s great to hear that the concept of upcycling is being highlighted and that the US Embassy in Nigeria is doing a lot to support Nigerians in this regard.

We are very pleased to share that our application for the “Climate Solution Leadership Training” is out and we hope you can benefit from this great opportunity that will build the future we want to see in our country. The goal of the project is to teach 600 young people in Nigeria’s southwestern states about climate change and give them the information they need to make good decisions. In addition, the team working on the project will record a documentary about the two-day workshops in order to demonstrate their development.

As 2022 draws to a close, we would like to highlight certain achievements and express our gratitude for your support and cooperation. The year 2022 was another difficult one for the entire world. Poverty rates are rising, and it is obvious that climate change is having increasingly catastrophic effects. We are seeing the systemic nature of risk and the cascading effects of shocks and stresses all over the world, from the ongoing COVID-19 global impact to the deadly floods in Pakistan, the drought, and hunger in the Horn of Africa, to the deadly heatwaves in Europe, the flash floods in Brazil, Hurricane Julia, and the global effects of Russia’s conflict in Ukraine.
